Larkin Poe

I found this group via this song dedicated to their grandmother with dementia:

I fell in love with their groovy melody instantly.

androgynous

Laura rocks !

slowdive (and the Shoegaze Genre)

Shoegaze is such a cool genre, I first discovered it through Alcest, a French shoegaze band, on a flight to France.

Here's a song from slowdive recommended by Arwen

Night Swimming

What a soft and calming piece.

The Pretty Reckless

These song were not in other more popular albums that I have downloaded. They have a more "Light Me Up" era sound, but are less explosive, more whiskey-ish.

There's also this very touching song, Harley Darling.
Taylor dedicates it to her friend/producer Kato Khandwala who died in a motorcycle accident.
Someone please play this when I go.

Muse

This song seems to only be available in the Japanese version, so I don't have it on the CD I have.

Avril Lavigne (and all the good memories)

I still remember when I was in elementary school, playing this song on my mp3 wherever I go. Feeling nostalgic about a nostalgic song, recursion has been achieved.

How You Remind Me is a cover, the original one is from Nickelback. For me Avril's version is waaaaay better, instead of angst I hear dispair and grief.
